2025 marks 15 years of partnership with the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC)—a milestone that reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainable design and construction across Aotearoa.
Our journey with NZGBC began with a groundbreaking achievement: our Wellington studio earned the prestigious 6 Green Star Interiors rating, the highest standard of sustainability. This milestone was made possible through a series of innovative measures, including:
-Using sustainably harvested and reused timber,
-Installing daylight-responsive lighting,
-Incorporating natural ventilation, heat-pump and radiant heating systems,
-Creating a living green wall, and
-Selecting low-VOC paints and adhesives.
Over the past 15 years, we have witnessed remarkable advancements within the industry. Enhanced insulation standards, the increased availability of energy modelling, and improved embodied carbon assessment tools are just a few examples of how far we’ve come.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about the next 15 years and the opportunities to further champion NZGBC’s vision: a future where all homes and buildings are green, sustainable, and designed to support healthier, happier communities across New Zealand.
